This is a video from the annual elephant festival that is held in Surin, Thailand. The festival features around 200 elephants doing things such as painting, playing football, dancing, etc. It usually takes places in November. It’s well worth visiting.     This is the view from the train as it crosses the Bridge on the River Kwai. The train has just left the River Kwai station and is headed towards Nam Tok, which is the end of the line. It’s the 6am train on Friday 10th August 2012, although it was about an hour late leaving. This train is 3rd class. Ticket costs 100 baht ($3) for foreigners. Journey to Nam Tok takes 2.5 to 3 hours.
